I use a Trakker safety barrow strap but only use a Portalite barrow and minimal kit on overnighters, works great for my requirements but I think you'll struggle with only one on a bigger barrow and load

You too Neil, almost tempted to do a night under the stars and leave the brolly system in the van

Mid week work overnighter for me this evening, so a wonderful 5 am pack up tomorrow but then back for my usual Friday overnighter to finish the week.

The introduction of the remote intervelometer into my photography was a game changer. The main benefit being you can set up with number of shots and time between shots just makes self takes so much less effort and so much more efficient to be able to get the fish back quickly.
I use a small 64 LED Godox light, mounted on a separate lightweight tripod for my night shots, which to be honest I'm still playing about with and trying to find the balance between compact lighting solutions but also have enough light for depth of shot.
One of my friends produces night shots as good as his day shots but takes a studios worth of lighting and remote flash kit, which is great with a power barrow but not so much when you're a portalite barrow user 😊I've actually pulled stills off the phone video clips which people have said are great pictures until they see the difference between those and the DSLR shots.

Interested to know how many folks on here are using DSLR's for your trophy shots or have you gone down the route of phone images only.
Personally I like to take my shots with the DSLR but also try to run the phone in video mode as a back up should I ever have an issue with the camera.
I understand that a lot of people have come away from DSLR's as they don't like lugging the extra kit around. I just don't think you can beat a DSLR for the quality of shot you can get though in comparison to even the best phone cameras

Part way through this one on my work commutes, excuse the pun but some eye opening content.
Really interesting comments regarding the amount of colours a carp can see in comparison to ourselves, certainly makes you think about end tackle concealment from a different angle with breaking up outlines being more important than colour of components.
Looking forward to the mornings commute to continue the education

It'll certainly be interesting to see what happens this year, especially with all the run off from the surrounding farm land
- Carp ChatWeed Growth after this wet and mild winter
The two waters I'm on this year, one is completely new to me and I've no idea on it's history regarding weed.
The other, when I was originally a member back in 2016 it used to weed up big time, but I've been told the last two years the weed had pretty much disappeared.
Last weekend I was finding small areas of low lying weed towards the shallows so hopefully it's making a return, although I'm not sure others feel the same about it. - Carp ChatWelcome new members
Cheers Neil, look forward to seeing how the forum develops 👍
I'll certainly keep an eye on the Sulby thread 😊
